The Boardroom workshops are divided into 4 sessions. The series is structured so that you can attend any one session, or all 4 sessions.
- Session 1 - 09:00am - 10:30 am
Introduction to Tax Risk Management (covering a glossary of terms, concepts and the overview of Tax Risk Management with case studies)
- Session 2 - 11:00 am - 01:00 pm
Dealing with the first 3 of 7 tax mistakes made by organizations: proactive TRM, the TRM team and functions and the TRM strategy.
Lunch
- Session 3 - 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Dealing with mistakes 4-6 out of the 7 tax mistakes made by organizations: Being too insular with tax, getting all the facts to conduct a proper review and working with internal audit.
- Session 4 - 3:15 pm - 04:30 pm
Dealing with mistake 7 (lack of communication and how to fix this) , as well as a wrap up of and final pointers for attendees, including interactions with SOX 404 and FIN 48.
